HALLOWEEN 2016 AT IES LA ROSALEDA BY 1SR AND 2SR

These are the students' essays about Halloween for this year.
They had two different options to present their jobs. They could use a word document or a power point presentation.
Some students decided to do their job by hand, so they can't be here at the moment. I'll try to take some pictures and upload them later on.
I hope you enjoy their works. Unfortunately some students did not present anything at all.....

This is a photo of the five students's works that were made by hand

HALLOWEEN AT I.E.S. "LA ROSALEDA" 2015

One more year, my students and I have been participating in the Halloween activities that are scheduled by the bilingual teachers in our school since 2010.

This year it had to be different so we decided to play it the other way round: we would offer a candy in exchange for a donation for children in need, as the UNICEF Campaign for HALLOWEEN says. It has been a great challenge as well as an important mission.

WHAT HAVE WE ALL DONE?

1SR and 2SR students have designed several posters to illustrate the campaign and have also been working on the boxes and cans, using UNICEF materials to collect money.

1ME students have been collecting money during the whole week.

1OI students have also made a big poster explaining our purpose and aim which is to get 500€ for UNICEF.

Irene Lendinez, who was a student of ‘Servicios en Restauración' V.T.C. and now a student of a V.T.C. in Graphic Arts, designed a special box to collect money, too.

It is important to underline the huge contribution of the teachers of the Graphic Arts Department on this occasion.

Today, students from the First Year of TSAAFD have prepared a flashmob during the break to celebrate Halloween at school!!! It was a superb show. Most of the students were having their snacks when a group of zombies started marching along the playground as the song Thriller from Michael Jackson was played.

Natalie-Jane Espinosa and I have written this post.

On 25th October 2012, second year students in  "Técnicos en Servicios en Restauración” celebrated Halloween together in our Centre´s superb facilities.. They worked all week, preparing everything in order to create a "nice and comfortable" atmosphere. They decorated the restaurant and made lovely Menus in English for the  special occasion. They also designed some posters promoting   the event.
The students recorded a 30 seconds promotion video whic was shown througout the school.

 CLASS!!!

Halloween 2012 at I.E.S. "La Rosaleda", Málaga from Maria Isabel Ortega

As you can see the slides don´t include any sentence at all. You will have to choose one of them and write a nice sentence in Spanish and then translate it into English. Finally I will upload the result!!!

These comments have been done by the students in class!!!

CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN AT I.E.S. "LA ROSALEDA"

Today we celebrated Halloween at the Institute.

The students from the second year of "Técnico en Servicios de Restauración" (2SR) have been working very hard. They decorated the Hospitality Facilities and they prepared the marketing campaign. They designed several posters together as well as a specific menu.

Natalia who is the Language Assistant prepared a presentation about Halloween in New Zeeland and she also read if for all of us. Thaks a lot!!!

In this presentation the students have done a lovely job. They have written what they think about each slide into two languages: Spanish and English. I hope you enjoy them and learn a lot

Now that you know what students have prepared, give you a chance to test your English and answer this funny quiz:

Primera alumna:
