TASKS AT WORK AND AT HOME

Our British Conversation Assistant has come to our F.O.L. class for the first time today.

We have seen some important things related to  cleaning.

If you are working in a Restaurant or doing some housework, you have to be able to do several tasks:

# It is very important to dust the furniture every day.

# You may be asked to sweep the floor and you will need a broom. Then you will have to mop it.

# If a customer is drinking and the drink spills, the boss will ask you to mop the floor.

# Every day the first thing to do is to lay the table and finally, when the customers have finished their meal and have gone, you will have to clear the table.

# You may have to clean the dishes (the plates too).

BEING AT HOME:

# You have to tidy the room. / To tidy up.

# When your clothes are dirty you need:

1.      to do the washing

2.      to peg out the clothes and finally

3.      to collect them

4.      To iron the clean clothes

If you are working in a Restaurant or doing some housework, you have to be able to do several tasks:
